Who are we?
g2 architects Pty. Ltd. employs a multi award winning team of passionate architects and draftsman:
- Ann Gee (RAIA): Ann has lived and practiced as an Architect on the Coffs Coast for over 30 years. Operating as 'Ann M Gee' then 'g2 architects', Ann has designed numerous locally iconic domestic, commercial, and heritage projects including the recent Sawtell Cinema renovations. In 2009 Ann was chosen to design the Japanese Garden Pavilions for the Coffs Regional Botanic Gardens. Ann continues to support the Botanic Garden legacy as a Rotary member. As a long-serving Board member of the Coffs Harbour Regional Conservatorium, Ann has assisted in the development of the Conservatorium, including its relocation to Bray St. In 2003 Ann was awarded the Centenary Medal for her work. Ann's eminent local reputation saw her 2015 appointment as a 'Prosper' Board Member to oversee plans for growth of the economic, social, cultural and environmental base of the Coffs Harbour region.
- Oliver Gee (M. Arch, B. App. Sc in Des., RAIA): Oliver completed his degrees at the University of Canberra. While studying, Oliver co-founded the UC Student Architecture Society, co-curated Rehab Student Conference 2009, completed a term as vice-president of SONA, and was Editor of SONA publication T3RRA Vol.3. On graduating, Oliver was awarded the Institutes' Daryl Jackson Alastair Swayn Prize. Oliver returned to Sawtell in 2011 to work at Ann M Gee Pty Ltd, and start a family of his own. In 2012 he and Ann formed g2 architects. Oliver has been involved in numerous domestic, commercial, heritage and public projects in the region including the Sawtell Cinema renovation. Oliver is active in local development as a participant in the Cultural Trust Advisory Committee, and as a board member of the Library and Gallery Planning Advisory Group. Completing registration in 2016, Oliver is now on the board of the Australian Institute of Architects NSW Country Division Committee, and was pleased to assist in the planning of the Institutes' Collaborate Conference 2017.
