A Project Close to Our Hearts- New ASPECT Macarthur Campus Opens in Coffs Harbour

Some projects are so much more than bricks and mortar. Attending the opening of the new ASPECT Macarthur Coffs Harbour Campus last Wednesday, both Ann and Oliver were fully aware of the significance of this renovation project. First approached by ASPECT in 2015, the g2 team assisted in the lengthy redesign process, converting the Campus from a Council utility building, to the welcoming and peaceful educational facility that it is today.  The new ASPECT school will facilitate specialized learning support for its students, providing an invaluable resource for the Coffs Harbour community, and local children on the Autism Spectrum.

The Campus' opening was especially moving with a Welcome to Country by Uncle Mark Flanders, addresses by CEO Adrian Ford, Board Chair Julie Hamblin, Director Elizabeth Gadek, and Mayor Denise Knight, followed by refreshments served in the gardens landscaped and generously donated by Green with Envy Landscapes, on picnic tables handmade and donated to the School by the Coffs Harbour Men's Shed, and an anthem sung by the ASPECT Macarthur Coffs Harbour student choir.

Aspect gave thanks to everyone who contributed to funding the new campus with special thanks to Sargent Pies Charitable Foundation and Enterprise and Training Company. Thanks was also given to the parents, including mother Laura Daley, who campaigned tirelessly for the facility.

g2 looks forward to a successful future for Aspect School and the students that attend there.
